1992 Kellogg’s All-Stars #1 Willie Stargell

This ten-card standard-size set was produced by Optigraphics Corp. (Grand Prairie, TX) for Kellogg’s and features retired baseball stars. One card was protected by a cello pack and inserted into Kellogg’s cereal boxes. In the U.S., the cards were inserted in boxes of Corn Flakes, while in Canada they were inserted in Frosted Flakes and some other cereals. The complete set and a baseball display board to hold the collection were available through a mail-in offer for 4.75 and two UPC symbols from the side panel of Corn Flakes boxes (in Canada, for 7.99 and three tokens; one token was found on the side panel of each cereal box). The front of the “Double Action” cards have a three-dimensional image that alternates between two action shots and gives the impression of a batter or pitcher in motion. The pictures are bordered in red, white, and blue. The backs carry a black and white close-up photo, summary of the player’s career (teams and years he played for them), awards, and career highlights. The Canadian Frosted Flakes cards are valued at two times the values listed below. The box back pictures both images of the Seaver card.
