The baseball card outlooks for Konnor Griffin and rest of Keith Law’s top 10 prospects

There seems to be little secret among avid baseball card collectors as to which prospects are currently the most highly touted, given the prices already being paid for the top cards of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Konnor Griffin and the Detroit Tigers’ Kevin McGonigle.

But while those two top Keith Law’s 2026 top 100 MLB prospects list, there are other players on it who are also drawing significant interest from collectors. And some who may deserve a bit more.

It’s another year of celebrating my colleague’s in-depth coverage of all things 1st Bowman cards — I mean minor league prospects. A player’s 1st Bowman autographed card appears in either Bowman Draft, Bowman Baseball, Bowman Chrome or Bowman Sapphire, Topps’ sets with a focus on Minor League prospects. For example, Kansas City Royals first baseman Jac Caglianone headlined the 2024 Bowman Draft release, while the product makers dropped McGonigle in the traditional 2025 Bowman set.

Below is a look at the current pricing for key players’ 1st Bowman autographed base cards with a PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) 10 grade, the highest possible mark from the industry’s top grading company. Prices and price movements come from Market Movers and Card Ladder, online trading card sales databases.

Below, I’ve highlighted the top 10 players on Law’s list, as well as notable price movements over the last year for other prospects in the top 100.

1. Konnor Griffin, SS/OF, Pittsburgh Pirates
Age: 19
Finished last season in: Double A
2024 Bowman Draft 1st base auto PSA 10: $900

Collectors appeared to catch on to Griffin’s value in June, and his cards have been on an upward trajectory ever since. His 1st Bowman auto price is up 372 percent from a year ago. And his average sales this month are even better than the last sales at $1,083.

“I think he’s the most exciting prospect we’ve had in the minors since Mike Trout, and I think he’s going to end up one of the best players in baseball once he gets established,” Law wrote.

Card outlook: With praise like that, it’s easy to see why he has the most expensive 1st Bowman auto on this list. It will also fuel the hype that could push his card values a bit higher between now and whenever he’s called up, but supporting this price level over the longer-term could be difficult. Any stumbles along the way and it could drop significantly, making Griffin a prime candidate to sell high and buy back cheaper down the road.

2. Kevin McGonigle, SS, Detroit Tigers
Age: 21
Finished last season in: Double A
2025 Bowman 1st base auto PSA 10: $725

McGonigle topped Law’s midseason list, but he “didn’t do anything to lose that spot; he just got lapped by the new Robin Yount.” The Detroit Tigers infielder has been on a steady rise since June with his card value up 107 percent. “If he’s at second base, fine, he’s Rogers Hornsby, that’ll play,” Law said. “His projection is going to be high averages and OBPs with 20 homers, and if you do that, you can play anywhere.”

Card outlook: Could Griffin taking the spotlight from McGonigle lead to the Tigers prospect being undervalued? It’s possible, but McGonigle’s prices are on the high end in their own right, partly because the PSA 10 population is very low (just 20, compared to 488 for Griffin’s 1st Bowman autos). McGonigle’s card values will be fighting against potential missteps on the field and rising PSA populations as more of his cards get graded this season.

3. Jesús Made, SS, Milwaukee Brewers
Age: 18
Finished last season in: Double A
2025 Bowman 1st base auto PSA 10: $405

There’s been excitement surrounding the Brewers infielder for some time now, which is why his card sales have been on an even plane since June, as it’s the same price now as it was then. “He’s in that tiny echelon of teenaged hitters who are so good so young that they can shoot to the majors even before they turn 20,” Law said.

Card outlook: Made could have easily been the box cover boy for the 2025 Bowman set (that went to Colorado Rockies prospect Charlie Condon) given his immediate hype. And there really hasn’t been anything to discourage collectors from believing in him. This feels like Milwaukee could have another Jackson Chourio on its hands in terms of hobby darlings.

4. Colt Emerson, SS Seattle Mariners
Age: 20
Finished last season in: Triple A
2023 Bowman Draft 1st base auto PSA 10: $345

The Mariners infielder seems on the way back to his original card value ($395 average in March 2024). This card is up 15 percent within the past year. “If he ends up at 20-plus homer power, which is probably his ceiling, he’s a superstar,” Law said. “Maybe he’ll hit .300-plus with enough secondary value in walks, doubles and defense to be a superstar even without a gaudy home run total.”

Card outlook: There’s a low supply of this Emerson card (pop count 33) considering the pop count for Paul Skenes’ card from the same set stands at 737. This means if you’re holding a raw Emerson 1st Bowman auto, it might be time to send it off to grading before he’s called up to the Mariners.

5. Max Clark, OF, Detroit Tigers
Age: 21
Finished last season in: Double A
2023 Bowman Draft 1st base auto PSA 10: $461

We’re not quite at the excitement level for the Tigers outfielder as the hobby was almost two years ago, when his card sales averaged $577. Still, Clark’s card is up 15.3 percent in the past year, rebounding from some valleys during last season. According to Law, “His MLB ceiling is as a plus defender with high OBPs and 18-22 homers a year, which is going to at least make him an All-Star and a big fan favorite.”

Card outlook: Let’s compare Clark and the Texas Rangers’ Wyatt Langford. Both opened as hot prospects in the 2023 Bowman Draft set. Langford launched to start the 2024 season, but has since plummeted (March 2024: $946 average; Jan. 2026: $276). Clark’s card has bounced between $300 and $500 since April and is back closer to the top of that range, almost waiting to see how he’ll perform once he hits the big leagues at some point.

6. Aidan Miller, SS, Philadelphia Phillies
Age: 21
Finished last season in: Triple A
2024 Bowman 1st base auto PSA 10: $163

Like Made on a lower price point, the Phillies infielder’s card values have been pretty much steady going back to July 2024. But hobby prospectors have been taking notice of his uptick in the minors with the prices up more than 60 percent in the past 180 days. “There’s a good chance that by July 1 he’ll be the best choice for shortstop at Citizens Bank Park,” Law said.

Card outlook: Miller’s card value sits at the low end of any prospect within the top 20. And even though the pop count on this card is on the higher end at 656, this would sure seem like a reason to buy in on the power-hitting shortstop. He’s up seven spots from Law’s 2025 rankings.

7. JJ Wetherholt, SS, St. Louis Cardinals
Age: 23
Finished last season in: Triple A
2025 Bowman 1st base auto PSA 10: $530

Wetherholt carries the third highest average card value of any player in the top 100. He is up from No. 32 in last year’s rankings and seems destined for the majors sooner than later, especially after the Cardinals traded Nolan Arenado this offseason. According to Law, “He’s the National League prospect about whom I’d feel most confident saying that he’ll win a batting average title some day.”

Card outlook: His prices have grown higher than Made and more than double the 2025 Bowman coverboy Condon (last sale $237.50, down nearly 16 percent in the last year). Plus, Wetherholt’s card is up 121 percent since Bowman’s June release. But can a shortstop who hits for average rather than power continue to command a top 1st Bowman price?

8. Samuel Basallo, C/OF, Baltimore Orioles
Age: 21
Finished last season in: Majors
2023 Bowman Chrome 1st base auto PSA 10: $280

Catchers can be dicey for card collectors, especially those who recall the hobby rise and fall of fellow Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman. “Basallo’s meteoric rise to the majors has somehow gotten less attention than you’d expect from the profile: He’s a catcher, easily the best catching prospect in the minors right now, who hits and has significant power, and reached the majors just four days after his 21st birthday,” Law said.

Card outlook: The Orioles prospect ranked third last year and stayed in the top 10. Basallo’s card value is up 37.3 percent from a year ago. A move away from catching would be best for any long-term card value. But a better path to becoming an All-Star given his power could be at catcher. A tough call for collectors.

9. Eduardo Quintero, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers
Age: 20
Finished last season in: Single A
2025 Bowman 1st base auto PSA 10: $250

Maybe the Dodgers are so good that it drags down their prospects’ card values. It seems odd that the outfielder’s cards are down 37.5 percent from last year. “Given where his bat is, that would make him an easy All-Star, as he’s already a very advanced hitter who’s starting to come into power already at age 19,” Law said.

Card outlook: The best scenario would be for Quintero to follow in the footsteps of Andy Pages as a homegrown Dodgers outfield talent. Pages’ 2020 1st Bowman autos sell for about $150 these days (but peaked above $400 in January 2022). Given the Dodgers’ penchant to buy the best players, it could be a minute before Quintero would crack Los Angeles’ outfield. You’ll need patience with Quintero.

10. Carter Jensen, C, Kansas City Royals
Age: 22
Finished last season in: Majors
2021 Bowman 1st base auto PSA 10: $212

Talk about seemingly coming out of nowhere for the Royals catcher. He wasn’t ranked last year and landed in the top 10 after rocket boosting to the majors by September. According to Law, “He’s going to be a legit Rookie of the Year candidate this year as a true catcher who could hit 20 homers with a strong OBP.”

Card outlook: Jensen’s card price is up 278 percent and there’s not many of them out there with a pop count of only 18. It feels tough for Jensen to become a hobby favorite out of nowhere unless he can produce like Cal Raleigh at some point. But a potential ROY run could result in another decent uptick for Jensen.
