There were huge release parties across the country when 2025-26 Topps Basketball officially launched two weeks ago, and the momentum hasn’t slowed. Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥

Yamamoto secured three victories from the mound during LA’s World Series victory over the Blue Jays. Yamamoto threw the first complete World Series game since 2001 in Game 2, won his start in Game 6, and earned the victory in relief in Game 7 to claim World Series MVP honors. His rookies have been fast sellers on the secondary market throughout the postseason.

Victor Wembanyama

Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥

Though the NBA season is young, Wembanyama has put himself in the driver’s seat for Defensive Player of the Year honors — and maybe more if he keeps up this pace. Through six games, Wemby leads the NBA with 4.7 blocks per game, and he is also averaging 11.8 defensive rebounds per game to go along with a 26.7 scoring average.

Austin Reaves

Reaves took a step forward in his development during the 2024-25 season, and he has kicked it up a notch in the early-going of the 2025-26 campaign. With the help of a 51-point outburst, Reaves is averaging 31.1 points per game through seven contests. But it’s not just about scoring — he’s also dishing out 9.8 assists per game, well above his current career-high of 5.8.

Brock Bowers

Bowers returned to action in Week 9 and hauled in 12 catches for 127 yards and 3 touchdowns — his first trio of scores in a season marred by a knee injury. In his 22nd career game, Bowers gained 100+ yards for the fourth time, tying the NFL record for a tight end. The Raiders could use the offensive boost as they try to turnaround their 2-6 record.

Jack Hughes

Speaking of players with double-digit goals, Hughes reached the total one day after MacKinnon. Behind his fast start, the New Jersey Devils are among the NHL’s best teams in the early-going, and if Hughes has anything to do with it, they’ll remain as such the rest of the campaign — and perhaps make a second straight postseason appearance for the first time since 2010.
