First look: 2009 Topps Football
Topps released basic product preview information and images for its 2009 NFL set on Wednesday with a 100-card National Chicle insert set and cheerleader cards among the highlights.
Set for a July release, the $1.99-per pack product will include one autograph or Relic card per 36-pack box or two autographs and one Relic per HTA jumbo box.
The base set will include 440 cards, 110 of those rookies, along with Classic Combos, League Leaders, Pro Bowl, Postseason Highlights as well as MVP and Rookie of the Year subsets.
Among the autograph and game-used offerings will be autographed rookie patch cards (manufactured letters), Career Best autographed and Relic cards and Career Best dual autographs. Also included will be a Santonio Holmes Ring of Honor autograph (limited to 100) as well as Career Best jumbo Relics.
Also back will be Gold, Black and Platinum parallels as well as press plates.
Among the inserts will be National Chicle, a 1:2 pack insert that celebrates the 1935 set of the same name, a 25-card AFL 50-year Flashback set and cards for cheerleaders from 13 AFC teams.
A jumbo box exclusive will be Rookie Premiere Autographs, which also will be found as duals, quads and red ink versions.
