It looks like that at least some of the Mystery Rookies are going to be photo variations – and it also appears that at least in Score, they intentionally left out some top players for the Mystery Rookies – they released RPS cards and autos of Pearsall and Irving so they had them under contract and simply withheld them for the mystery rookie – and that was definitely the case with Williams as well – some of the other sets simply went with photo variations
