The big business of Bad Bunny Super Bowl merch: From $100 hats to ‘Grass Bunny’ costumes
The team that wins the Super Bowl always has an instant influx of merchandise that hits the market to commemorate their victory. By that measure, it would seem Bad Bunny won Super Bowl 60 by a wide margin.
Sure the Seattle Seahawks got the traditional championship T-shirts, hats, and other gear for beating the New England Patriots in the game, but shortly after the “Benito Bowl” ended, new shoes, hats, jackets, hoodies and more with his branding were made available from various retailers and much of it quickly sold out.
Perhaps the hottest item to drop was the Adidas BadBo 1.0, the same shoes Bad Bunny wore during his halftime performance. The retail price of the shoe is $160, but every size of the BadBo 1.0 quickly sold out on BadBunnyAdidas.com Monday and are still sold out as of Friday morning. If you want to get your hands on a pair you’ll have to go to a secondary market. On both eBay and StockX, the BadBo 1.0 are selling for more than $200.

The “Super Tazón” collection that was teased when the “Fans/Concho Collection” collaboration between Bad Bunny and the NFL dropped last month was released shortly after halftime of Super Bowl 60. Tazón is the Spanish word for “bowl” in Puerto Rico and the “Super Tazón” is the first time an NFL Super Bowl merchandise features a Spanish translation.
The collection features jackets, hats, shirts, shorts, pants and hoodies. Many of the items, including some of the jackets, shorts and hoodies are available in the off white color that Bad Bunny performed in. An off white Mitchell and Ness jersey ($250) inspired by the custom Zara jersey Bad Bunny wore during his performance is sold out. Hats bearing every NFL team logo are priced at $100 each.

The “Super Tazón” collection also features two retro-style Starter jackets ($300) in black and light blue that have Bad Bunny and “Super Tazón” logos on the front and an NFL logo and “Super Tazón LX” logo on the back. The light blue jacket is a similar shade to the blue triangle in the Puerto Rican flag Bad Bunny used as a part of his halftime show. That particular shade of blue on the Puerto Rico flag is a symbol of Puerto Rican independence.
Even three of the grass costumes worn by performers in the halftime show have made it to eBay in recent days, with bidding on one over $1,000 with four days remaining on the auction. Another listing, priced at $5,000, includes the radio and snacks given to performers.
