Seven-time Super Bowl champion and FOX commentator Tom Brady just picked up another side hustle in retirement, this week announcing he’s taken part ownership of sports memorabilia company CardVault.

Two of the company’s three storefronts are at Boston-area sports venues, and the retailer bills itself as one of the best in the world of trading cards. Brady, who also owns a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, announced he’s taken a 50 percent stake in CardVault, which will now be known as CardVault by Tom Brady.

“This isn’t just about buying and selling cards; it’s about curating history, building community, turning fans into collectors, and giving them access to own great moments in sports,” Brady said in a company press release.

CardVault also sells Pokémon trading cards on its website, which focuses on men’s sports, including football and baseball, as well as WWE and UFC. Football cards on the site range from about $40 to nearly $600.

CardVault’s stores at TD Garden, Gillette Stadium, and Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., feature floor-to-ceiling collages of sports legends from Boston’s hallmark professional teams. Customers and oglers can pore over vintage sports cards and other memorabilia beneath glass counters, and reminisce about historic moments, the company said.

Brady’s involvement comes at a time the company is set to open another store next to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
