topps / mystery black cards help?
I’m figuring that given they’re called ‘Mystery’ cards the answer is staring right in my face and I should peel them off, but I don’t want to make a stupid mistake.
Thanks for helping out

I have a few of these and I never peeled them. Not sure if you are supposed to or not though. Be nice to know also.

I had the jamal mashburn like this. Kept it unpeeled for almost 10 years and eventually peeled it just cause I wanted to see the design. I have the MJ too, it’s peeled. Not much depreciation on these it’s meant more to keep the card a “mystery” than as a protective covering, IMHO.

RE: topps / mystery black cards help?
The “Mystery” is whether your cards are a regular Finest (1:36), a Borderless (1:72), a Borderless Refractor (1:216) or a Boardered Refractor (1:66 Jumbo Hobby). I’d guess one is a regular and you beat the odds on the other.
That set had a ton of other great inserts. What else did you pull??
BTW, it was 95-96 that had multiple players on the back, one of whom was on the card in a Finest or Refractor version.

Thanks for clarifying (all of you btw), I’ll peel then.
I’ll post a video in a few days of this break and my 2000-01 SP Authentic and 1996-97 Topps S2 breaks.
